1.About the Company
Skyworth Green Energy Storage (Pty) Ltd is a Skyworth Group Company with its registered offices in Johannesburg.
2.How the information is collected and used
We collect personal information about you and any other persons whose details you provide to us in accordance with the relevant laws, either:
- Directly from you when you complete a product or service application form, electronically or by way of a hard copy;
- Indirectly from you when you interact with us electronically by way of our website, apps, or social media, which may include the collection of metadata (data about data); and
- Where relevant, from third party sources.
We will also collect your information where you only partially complete and/or abandon any information inputted into our website and/or other online forms. Given that we consider you a customer at this stage, we may use this information to contact you in order to remind you to complete outstanding information and/or for direct marketing purposes - until such time as you exercise your right to opt-out or terminate the relationship.
Where we require personal information in order to provide you with our products and services, your failure to provide us with it, will result in us being unable to provide you with our products and services.
The information collected is used to:
- process your request or provide you with the products and services you have requested and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of the products and services (purchasing/sales administration, after-sales, logistics, supplier management, HR/recruitment, IT service, accounting and marketing);
- contact you about new services and products and marketing messages, of which option you can elect to opt out of;

We may disclose your personal information our service providers who are involved in the delivery of products and services to you in particular:

We collect process your personal information mainly to contact you for the purposes of understanding your requirements, and delivering product/services accordingly. We collect information directly from you where you provide us with your personal details.? Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.
Some of the information which we collect and process includes :
- Identification data (last name, first name, company name);
- contact data (postal address, email address, phone number, address of installation site);
- location data (house structure, view of house, roof type/material/size and other data necessary for the installment and management of device );
- device data (serial numbers of Inverter and panels, photos of panels, photos of mounting hardware and other data necessary for the monitoring of device);
- any other data you agreed to send us in order to obtain the supply/use of products and/or services.
5.Your rights to access and correct information
You have the right to access, your information held by us. You have the right to ask us to update, correct or delete your personal information.
To exercise your rights, simply write to one of the two addresses stated below. We will require a copy of your ID document to confirm your identity before making changes to personal information we may hold about you. We would appreciate it if you would keep your personal information accurate.
6.Security and Storage of your personal information
Your personal information shall be retained for a period not exceeding that required for the purposes for which they are collected.
However, if any applicable laws (e.g., the local laws in your countries or regions) require us to retain your personal information for a longer period, we will comply with the legal requirements and delete your personal information only after the expiration of the retention period.
At the end of these periods, your personal information shall be erased from the active databases and, if necessary, archived for a period not exceeding the applicable statutory limitation periods or archiving obligations.
